About Me
I am an Early Childhood Educator, Child and Youth Care Practitioner and Wunderled Approach Certified Educator.
I have been working in the field of early childhood education and with families for over 25 years. Play is my passion. Children are natural explorers and love to play. Understanding the fundamentals of play is so important, but you don't need to be an expert to enjoy and understand play. I love teaching about play and all its components, but most of all I love to be in the midst of a play experience with young children. Working directly with children is an amazing honor, to be able to share and witness all their growth. I have been involved with children for 38 years as I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 4 beautiful creative playful grandchildren. I still work directly with children and families in my morning program which I enjoy and I believe keeps me young at heart.

"Knowledge is tied to action. It is through children's exploration and discovery among their actions that the first structures of the mind are formed." Jean Piaget
"A shared vision is not an idea...it is rather, a force in peoples hearts...at its simplest level, a shared vision is the answer to the question "What do we want to create?" Peter Senge
Mission
My mission is to help families and educators ignite their passion with play and to discover how to be curious, explore ideas, generate questions, engage conversations, shape understanding, reflect values, welcome co-learning and to construct a community of people to create a more knowledgeable, respectful early childhood community of practice that welcomes all families and educators to join in the action for the best interest of the child and the right to play.
